Purchased and its working great on my machine Finn. This solves a lot of my angst with Substack. I really needed something to passively track my creative flow with my notes and posts. Trying to keep track of all of the performance stats in my head or a spreadsheet was swamping me. Now I can check back at the end of the week to look at the trends, adjust, and get back to spending more of my time creating. Thank you! P.S. thoughts for future versions... First, I could really use a look at the impressions in order to normalize the engagement. If my impressions are low for some reason (time of day posted, # of followers, or algorithm changes) I'd like to have a think about that in the trends. Maybe even have a button to do that normalization. Secondly, I was disappointed when I looked at the output csv and only saw the first line of each note. I could really use the full note text. This would allow me to load the csv to ChatGPT to analyze my writing style vs the engagement metrics. Third, it would be helpful to have a column noting if the note was just text, with photo, or with video so that I can separate out notes by media type and look at their performance.
Yes, this is a slight pivot from the dashboard I built using Kristina’s case as an example.
I spent three months crafting that “sophisticated” dashboard, tracking millions of data points across 100,000+ newsletters. And honestly, I was way too proud of the SQL gymnastics behind those dozens of graph panels.
Technically? It worked.
But I built it for analysts… not actual creators. That was the humbling part.
It turns out that most writers don’t want a dashboard that makes them feel like they need a data science degree.
They want clarity—a simple, friendly signal that says, “This is working - do more of that.”
Lesson learned: creators don’t need more noise. They need smart nudges in the right direction.
Thanks, Jenny! You are a special case who loves ❤️ complex dashboards. Not everybody on Substack builds AI-powered websites to help creators or just for the fun of it 😄.
Thank you for this. You helped me figure out why my growth had slowed so much recently and what I need to do to pick it back up again. Data is king.
BTW, I tried making a video review but it seems the video part wasn't working but at least you have the audio of me excitedly telling everyone why they should get this software.
Is there a way to get data on how well Substack Lives perform? I know I got most of my recent subscribers from them because after I do one there's a whole avalanche of subscribers. I'd love to quantify it though.
I need to study the Substack Lives a bit more. In the meantime, I uploaded version 1.1.2 to Gumroad, which now includes a media type field that allows you to see the type of attachments your Notes have (text, video, or photo).
Additionally, I added full-body text to the CSV export for those who want to analyze their Notes and engagement metrics with ChatGPT (another feature requested yesterday).
I dislike subscriptions, but I understand the necessity of paying for hosting servers, domain services, and other related expenses.
The good news is that this product is a Chrome extension, and Substack hosts your data for free. You're welcome to add a tip 💰 if you'd like. You will get my eternal gratitude and free software upgrades.
I asked a few people how much this product would be worth to them, and I reduced the price by 30% to give users more value for their money.
Not exactly a scientific pricing method, but hey, I'm an engineer and not a marketer 🤣.

hey Brad, I did implement #2 and #3 from your wishlist.
Wowzer! Thx Finn! That’s going to make it really valuable for me 😎
Hey Brad, the new version (v1.1.2) has been uploaded to Gumroad.
Everything checks out on my end Finn. Thanks for the update and for incorporating my feedback so quickly!
✅ Fixed net adds 30D vs 365D label bug
✅ Added full note body to the CSV export
✅ Added media type field to the Note Analytics and CSV export
✅ Added richer per-post analytics and referrer-aware acquisition metrics
✅ Added version number on analytics window
Hey Brad, thanks for the fantastic feedback!
Also, I appreciate your new feature suggestions. I'll add these to the top of my roadmap.
Just purchased.
Gumroad is such an overlooked platform for digital products.
Surprised Substack didn't try to build something similar to keep people on platform and for them to rake a bit off the top.
Looking forward to trying it.
Thanks, Jim
Any feedback is welcome.
Don’t tell me this is a pivot from the sophisticated dashboard with Kristina on the example case…
Haha, guilty as charged.

Your lesson really is so true! Still, I have to admit, I loved that complex dashboard. It looked so sleek!

Thanks again.
Hey Rodney, data is indeed the king. I'm glad you liked the tool. Any feedback is welcome.

To upgrade to the new one what do I do? Do I uninstall the old one first, then follow the same steps?
Yes, remove previous version and install new version.
This looks cool. Definitely interested. I think you charge too little for your products by the way!
The good news is that it's a one-time fee, not a monthly subscription.
Yes that’s nice considering everything these days is a subscription service. I think you should double your prices because of this :)
I dislike subscriptions, but I understand the necessity of paying for hosting servers, domain services, and other related expenses.

Purchased and its AWESOME!!!! Thank you so much, Finn- can't wait to dive into it more!
